That is the heart behind this month’s Bible journaling theme, The Heart of God. This collection was created to help you slow down in the Word, linger in Scripture, and let God’s own words shape how you see Him.

Why “The Heart of God”?

Our anchor passage for this theme is Exodus 34:6–7, where the Lord proclaims His Name to Moses and reveals His character:

Compassionate.
Gracious.
Slow to anger.
Abounding in steadfast love.

When God speaks about Himself, it’s worth paying close attention. Throughout Scripture, this description of God’s heart is repeated again and again, reminding us that His character does not change with seasons, circumstances, or our own faithfulness.

This month’s theme is about letting Scripture shape what we believe about God… instead of allowing fear, past experiences, or misunderstanding to define Him for us.

The Heart of God theme is especially close to my heart because it invites us to let God define Himself through His Word. Exodus 34 shows us God revealing His character. Psalm 103 shows God’s people responding in worship and trust. Together, they remind us God is the same today, yesterday, and years ago. His truths are timeless and His character doesn’t change. He can be trusted.
