2026 seems like a weird time to start up a blog but here we are.
In the age of video and social media posts, blogging has become almost an ancient thing of the past but as luck would have it….I kinda like ancient things. IYKYK 😉 Ok, it’s the Bible…that’s the ancient thing I’m talking about. 😉
I’ve always wanted to start up a blog. The funny thing is…at the height of blogging back in the early 2000s through 2017, I designed blogs for a living. Then, I went on to work for a blog as their graphic designer and craft tutorial writer. I even got to travel as an influencer and blog about my experience.
So I’m no stranger to the blogging world. In fact, quite the opposite.
I have so much more I want to talk about online but to be honest, social media is a dumpster fire of folks who think their opinion needs to be spoken loudly and rudely.
Take a minute to read this article I wrote for Bible Gateway about a rude comment I received about my Bible study methods.

Since becoming a business owner with a small online following, I’ve faced judgment from people who only know a little about me based on a brief post they’ve seen.
My skin has gotten thicker over the years but honestly it still hurts my heart the way folks feel the need to comment online. I personally have no problems scrolling by posts that I don’t agree with. I find myself spending less and less time on social media because it really isn’t “real” life.
Many of you reading may know that I started up a private Facebook group for my sticker subscriptions. I wanted a way to connect with subscribers and give them a place to share their Bible studies online.
I am well aware of how Facebook groups can be. Before we launched the Facebook group, I told my team if this group ever started being a mental drain, I would pause it. It took about 6 months for the comment section to start draining the fun and excitement out of the group. Without hesitation, I paused the group.
What was supposed to be a place to share about the Bible suddenly became a stomping ground for off-topic comments. “I don’t like the color purple in this month’s subscription”. “My subscription didn’t renew”. “Why didn’t I receive an email about XYZ?”
95% of the group was my assistant replying to comments that they need to send an email to customer service. It was ALWAYS issues that were specific to the person and not a group discussion about what topic we were all studying.
To say that it draining the fun from us as a team is an understatement. It took away from the mission of Kingfolk and I am very protective to keep the mission intact.
So that’s where this blog comes into the picture. It will be a place where I can share subscription photos both from the photos I have taken for the website AND most importantly, photos that you send to us from your Bible study.
The mission has always been to point others back to the Word and to dig deeper into Scripture. And while yes, we do have folks with questions about their subscription, it forces them to email us instead of posting in a group post on Facebook.
My hope is this blog encourages you to dig into the Word like never before. I hope it gets you excited to open your Bible and learn more.
I know I am encouraged to have a space to share about the subscriptions without the noise of everything else. It’s exciting to see how our subscribers are using their subscriptions to dig into the Word more.
2026 has already started off as a fresh start for Kingfolk. Read more about what we are changing with our product lines here. The Lord has been making adjustments and pruning away things to reveal where our direction needs to be. I am listening to His guidance and even though it’s hard to let go of some great things, I know His will is always better than my plans.
Welcome to the Kingfolk Co blog. I’m so thankful you are here!
